Simon Campbell-Whyte- Executive Director
Simon has been involved in the colocation, hosting and telecommunications industry for 15 years. He has held a number of management roles at Altohiway (now Talk Talk), Viatel and Vistorm (now HP) before co-founding the data centre search and selection firm Colofinder.co.uk in 2007. During this time Simon has gained experience working with many major corporations on critical IT projects from the early days of the internet to today's on-demand cloud models. Simon now heads up the DCA's secretariat team, and is involved in a wide range of the DCA's activities on a daily basis.
Steve Hone- Operations Director
Steve Hone is the co-founder of Data Centre Alliance and sits on the management team as Operations Director. Having been in the IT Industry since the heady days of the .Com boom and has been lucky enough to work for and with some great people and organisations on critical IT projects over the years. In 2007 he co-founded Colofinder.co.uk, an independent data centre search and selection consultancy providing specialist advice and guidance on the colocation market globally. Prior to getting into IT and Data Centres Steve's background was in Electrical and Mechanical engineering having served an initial 6 year apprenticeship within the MOD before eventually moving into the commercial world of sales and Management .
Justin Lowdon- Company Secretary
Justin has worked in the IT industry for over 13 years and is both IT Manager for US Owned law firm Proskauer Rose and company secretary of Data Centre Alliance, with a strong back ground on both IT and Project Management. Justin found the Data Centre world fascinating whilst working on a project three years ago and from this point has taken an active interest in the promotion of energy efficient best practice standards and adoption within the Industry.
Arpen Tucker- Communications Director
Arpen has 18 years of Sales and Business Development experience. Over the last 11 years, he has held Senior Sales/Business Development roles in the Data Centre and Internet Service markets with Global Switch, KeyBridge Corporation, Globix and Telecity. He is currently Head of Data Center Business Development at Options Technology, a provider of commercial Data Centre Services in West London. Arpen is responsible for developing key strategic alliances and commercial opportunities that are key to widening the work & awareness of the Data Centre Alliance. Arpen has an extensive network of contacts throughout the Data Centre sector and is well known/respected amongst Industry peers.
Louise Fairley- Marketing Manager
Louise has worked within the IT and Technology sectors for over 18 years. An experienced CIM qualified B2B Marketer, Louise has held a number of senior roles at altoHiway (now Talk Talk Business), Triteq/ Triteq Medical and Hotlizard and has direct experience in end user/ channel marketing & project management. Joining the DCA team, Louise heads up the marketing function and is responsible for overall activity including Web, PR, Membership Services Systems, Social Media and Events.
Jörg Kurtz - DCA Development Executive, Deutschland
Jörg is a specialist consultant in the IT and Internet technologies sector since 1997. He has a wide range of experience including setting up whole divisions for system integrators and multimedia companies to developing internet infrastructure as well as website and database projects for associates, companies and corporates. During the last 9 years Jörg developed the business for Interxion Deutschland GmbH in Frankfurt and Düsseldorf. Since November 2011 Jörg is acting as the Managing Director of JK Internet Solutions Partner who provide high quality services for clients seeking data centre & connectivity, managed online services and mobile application deployments in Europe and Asia. Jörg is very extensively connected in the business network of data centre & carriers and managed service providers and brings valuble knowledge and experience to the DCA team.
Stephen Dennis - Head of Skills Development
Stephen has over 30 years of experience of the IT industry gained through delivering mission critical programmes and multi-million dollar programmes for the likes of IBM, Unisys, Capita and Thales. Recently Stephen managed the UK services division of Advantage Technical resourcing, concentrating on the quality provisioning of Intellectual capital within the data centre industry. It is within this right skilling sphere and through gaining an understanding of complex Data Centre environments that it became clear there exists a need to improve the supporting intake, training, staffing and selection practices. Therefore Stephen is assisting the DCA mission in establishing the key critera to enhance the data centre industrys career path to meet the challenges of both today and tomorrow. Stephen is working with academia, policy makers and the wide a varied DCA membership to establish the skills sustainability the industry requires to ensure its future competitiveness, health and growth.
